Our new hatchet is a great all around tool to have on the campsite, on your hunt, or in your bug out bag. Made from thick 1/4" 80CrV2 high carbon steel, this hatchet can take a beating. Full tang construction with wood or micarta handles and brass hardware. Caswell black oxide finish complemented with a custom kydex sheath. The sheath includes pull the dot belt loops, shock cord retention strap, and is quick to deploy.

Quality

The quality of materials, steel, and heat treat all factor in to the end quality of a knife. All knives are heat treated in house with high quality Paragon Heat Treating Ovens. Fine Blades For Life uses 80CrV2 high carbon steel and CPM Magnacut. 80CrV2 is a tough as nails high carbon steel with excellent edge retention, wear resistance, and durability. CPM Magnacut is a new super steel made for knifemakers with fantastic corrosion resistance, edge retention, and wear resistance.
